【校長だより】English Seminar 2025 DAY 1
Humans Learn by Making Mistakes と題する話をしました。これは、外国語科だけでなく、1年生だけもでなく、すべての生徒に伝えたいメッセージです。
Good morning, everyone. I’m Kusumi Takeshi, the Principal of Sakado High School, and I’d like to warmly welcome you to English Seminar 2025.
First and foremost, I’d like to express my gratitude to the staff from ISA and the four distinguished instructors. Thank you for your efforts in organizing this seminar. Earlier today, I had the chance to preview the seminar program, which features 12 lessons. I must say, I was deeply impressed. It’s full of practical, inspiring, and useful content that will undoubtedly enhance the students’ English proficiency. Please encourage them to tackle each lesson with enthusiasm and help them build their confidence.
Students, as first-year members of the Department of Foreign Studies at Sakado High School, I believe you are highly motivated to learn English. In my opinion, the most important thing to remember when learning a foreign language is this: Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, because humans learn by making mistakes.
Humans learn by making mistakes. Let’s repeat it together three times: Humans learn by making mistakes. Humans learn by making mistakes. Humans learn by making mistakes.
During this seminar, I encourage you to use English as much as possible. Make as many mistakes as you need to – the more mistakes you make, the more you’ll learn. And above all, enjoy the seminar to its fullest!
Thank you.
